In a short amount of time Andrew has improved all areas of my playing. With his instruction my technique has become significantly better which has allowed me to play more complicated music. I have also learned a lot from his in depth knowledge of music theory and aptitude for teaching it. Im excited to see where I can go long term with his instruction.
Hes always on time and communicative outside of lessons. His lesson planning and enthusiasm for teaching will help you achieve your music goals.

    Frequently asked questions

My priority with a new student is to learn their experience level and what their goals are. From there I can provide customized lessons to fit their skill level and help them achieve their specific goals.

I am currently a third year Doctoral Candidate at the Eastman School of Music where I am finishing up my Doctor of Musical Arts degree as well as an Advanced Performer's Certificate in Early Music. At Eastman, I teach one on one guitar lessons and classes to undergraduate students.

I received my Master of Music degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2020 and my Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Arkansas in 2015.

My lessons are by monthly rate as shown below.

    1; 30 minute lesson per week: $100/month

    1; 60 minute lesson per week: $200/month

I started teaching while I was an undergraduate student at a local music lesson's store. From there I went on to teach at a local private school and then at the University of Arkansas community music school.

I have worked with students of all ages and students with all sorts of varying musical goals. I can teach student that is interested in learning!

A recent teaching related event that I am fond of is that I am currently teaching Guitar Pedagogy to undergraduate classical guitarists at Eastman which is a class where I am teaching them how to teach guitar themselves!

My advice is stay positive and be proud of small achievements and any progress you make in your playing!

I am always open to hearing my students' needs and they should never think twice if they have something they feel the need to share with me.
