Rochester Contemporary School Of Music
About
Rochester Contemporary School of Music (RCSM) has been the region’s leading modern music school since it's inception in 2011. Our students, children and adults alike, come from a wide range of musical backgrounds and range from beginners to professional musicians.
RCSM's program offers more than just private lessons, as we also offer music classes, workshops, and summer camps. Additionally, every student has the opportunity to participate in our popular and innovative program called "I"m In The BandTM," in which they write original music (i.e. rock, pop, jazz, funk, punk, bluegrass, folk, etc.) and perform in a band at popular music venues in the Rochester area.
Young musicians also have the opportunity to join our intensive program "I'm In The Band - LIVETM!" They'll get to travel with their band to perform in different cities while getting "real world" musical experiences. On tour, students will get to perform concerts, get behind-the-scenes educational tours, while laying a solid foundation for careers in the music industry.
We always love to see students blossom on their instrument
We get particularly proud when our students go on to find success in their music careers; whether it's getting accepted into top music schools, touring with their band, getting signed to record labels, or getting jobs in the music industry.
