Village Yoga
About
At Village Yoga, we focus on the student. Whether you are looking to spend time on the yoga mat or in a coaching conversation, we get to know you and what you are looking to achieve.
It may come across as a smile on their face or hearing them say "I get it now!", but being witness to a student's "a-ha" moment is one of my greatest privileges.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I think it's important for us to get to know each other and our expectations, so we'll start with a conversation. I'll have questions for you and I hope that you'll have some for me too!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified life coach and registered yoga instructor (200 hr). I am also a trained massage therapist and practice reiki and energy work.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
As a student myself, I encourage you to get to know your teacher. Ask questions, find your voice, and remember that your teacher may be amazing, but may still not be the right teacher for you. You will get so much more out of the training with a teacher that you feel comfortable with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about what is most important to you and ask questions related to those things. If time is an important factor for you, focus on that. How much time you have to spend with your teacher? If you have one hour once a week, ask questions about how that will fit with your teacher's calendar/structure/style, etc. Follow-up by asking how diligent they are with time (if you only have that hour and they consistently go 15 minutes over or start late, that may not be the best fit!)
