Hi, I'm Rosie, owner of Rosie's Posies Yoga LLC! I am a fully insured RYT-500 certified in Vinyasa, Yin, Hot, Aqua, Hatha, Beginner's, Advanced, and Chair Yoga. I am also a certified Myofascial Release Therapy Practitioner and offer this therapy to clients to help them heal and recover tissues after activity, injury, surgery, or disability by targeting trigger points. This therapy is a form of both massage therapy and physical therapy and can be used during and between our sessions.

I have struggled in the past with debilitating physical weakness and a rare hypermobility disorder, and now I embrace yoga and MFR as a means of preventing injury, building strength, and recovering gently from past traumas. I view yoga through a therapeutic lens and offer the same relief to my clients in a mindful, one-on-one or group setting. I also offer body scan meditation and various breathwork techniques. Whether you are totally new to yoga or a seasoned yogi looking to deepen your practice, I will design an individualized session based on your needs and work with you to achieve your goals.

I have a rare hypermobility disorder and have had many injuries over my life; I know how awe-inspiring it is to use yoga as a way to feel so much better and be so much stronger. My favorite thing about my job as a private yoga instructor is helping my students to get there: using yoga as therapy to feel better, as pain management, or even just to get stronger and avoid injuries. I am fascinated by yoga's ability to heal the body and the mind, and every time I see it, it's amazing.

    Rosie worked with me to focus on meditation and yin yoga to help with stress related to work and also to focus on limb pain that may be related to nerves or other areas of the body. She was able to create an easy to follow plan that I, as a beginner, could utilize even after the session. Ive done a few more sessions with her and she has continued to work to help me adapt as my needs have changed.

    Frequently asked questions

    I have new clients fill out a client intake form, which details what they're looking for in terms of yoga practice growth, pain management, relaxation, etc. We schedule a time and place (client's home, a park of their choice, etc.) to meet and I'll prepare a session to suit your needs. After the first session, I gather feedback to continue fine-tuning the sessions to the client's needs and may offer suggestions for things to work on at home to continue our work. Rescheduling is up to the client, as is the frequency.

    My sessions are currently $70. I offer a $10 per session discount for seniors (60+) and college students. I also do group sessions and those prices are available upon request and further detail. There are no hidden fees.

    I have practiced yoga since 2003; however, due to various physical conditions I spent a few years in the 2010s weak and barely able to stand/walk without difficulty. Through physical therapy and then yoga, I am stronger than ever and can do things I never used to think possible. Yoga amazes me and I am so grateful for it. That is why I wanted to teach it; to guide others to feel that same awe and growth, regardless of their reasons for seeking it.

    Private clients looking to deepen their practice, those looking for a teacher to individualize a practice to their needs and abilities, those needing meditation and/or yin for anxiety, those seeking pain-management or healing after an injury.

    I have a group fitness student who attends my Chair Yoga and Myofascial Release Therapy classes once per week. When I first met her, she used a cane to walk. After just a few weeks of moving with Chair Yoga and working with MFR therapy, she is sleeping better, walking without a cane, and was able to actually enjoy a planned vacation this past summer (2023). To see such progress in someone is the reason I do this for a living!

    Make sure they are insured! Looking the teacher up on Yoga Alliance's website (first and last name) also helps you to see that their education matches up to what they claim if they are registered.
