About
I’m passionate about coaching new students and existing students to achieve their performance goals. Whether it’s public speaking for a recent graduate looking for a job, a child learning about performance techniques, or an experienced actor looking for some scene analysis work, I enjoy helping people on their journeys.
I have been performing for more than 30 years, teaching acting to children for 14 years, and directing theatre for more than 20. I have local students and students I work with over Skype. I have Bachelors degree from Kenyon College and I am pursuing my MFA.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I spend the consultation getting to know them and understand their goals. Do they simply want a monologue? Are we doing scene study work? For completely new students, we work on warming up the body and voice and practice strengthens our support systems needed for clear projected voices.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors degree in theatre
20 years of directing theatre

How did you get started teaching?
A local theatre company was looking for someone to teach an improv class to kids and wanted a recent graduate. I enjoyed working with the students so much, I kept doing it. I love watching the “lightbulb” come on!
