Cristian Ghetu

Hello, my name is Cristian. I was born in Moldova and have been playing chess since I was 7 years old, I played competitive and won a couple of turnaments. I moved to America in 2011 and continued playing chess, although not as seriously I maintained my proficiency. In highschool I worked at Kumon where I tutored kids ages 5 to 18 in Math and English. In 2021 I worked for a company called Digs where I would go to schools and teach various sports as well as teach chess. Currently my proficiency in chess is that of a 1800 rated player. I also speak Russian and Romanian. My style of teaching is more based on helping them with asking the right questions and tackling the problem form different perspectives rather then telling them the answer and it's going to be catered to the individual. I'm patient and enjoy teaching. I'm also professional with setting up appointments and being punctual.
