Elaine began playing violin at the age of 3, learning through the Suzuki method, and began playing trombone at age 10. She has been a dedicated teacher since 2013. As a certified Suzuki Teacher, Elaine believes music instills essential life skills like patience, perseverance, and a beautiful heart, as emphasized by Suzuki's philosophy. With over ten years of teaching experience, she is dedicated to nurturing young musicians with kindness and involving parents to strengthen family bonds. I've been an active performer/educator in the Columbus area for years. I am currently the Violin Instructir at Capital University, and perform regularly with Columbus Symphony as well as various other organizations. Along with traditional classical training, I have experience in different styles of music including jazz, rock, pop, fiddle/country, and on. I regularly am the violinist for the CAPA Broadway series. I love to teach and feel that it goes hand in hand with being a great performer.
