Her previous teachers include Ralph Matson, former concertmaster of the Utah Symphony and Deborah Moench of Salt Lake City. Karen made her solo orchestral debut at age 7 with the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra and in 2014, was a featured soloist with the Utah Symphony on its annual “Salute to Youth” concert. With over 15 years of experience playing multiple Percussion instruments ranging from drum set, mallet percussion, hand drums, auxiliary percussion, marching percussion (field and front ensemble). I have played with ensembles such as stage bands (rock, reggae, blues, jazz, ect), concert bands, marching band, indoor drum line, theater pit and general accompanyment for other preforming groups.
