I've had the privileges of studying under the late great Danny Vaughn and woody awarding winning musician Than Medlam of the jazz-fusion band Equillibrium, Mario Camarena of Chon, and local guitar instructor Ben Rodriguez. I teach a variety of styles and adapt to students of all skill levels and abilities. As a professional musician with education experience in the classroom and with private students, I am well suited to teaching a variety of students in both piano and voice. For piano students, instead of beginning with teaching students how to read music, I instruct them in creating harmonies and technique. I have a doctoral degree in music and currently teach at the University of Oklahoma. As a pianist, I was trained at Eastman and have played concerts across North America, including New York City and San Francisco. I have taught piano and theory privately since 1995.
