I hold a BM in music from Wichita State, a MM from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and I’m finishing my DMA from The University if Oklahoma. Hi I have taught piano for 35 years and I currently have around 45 students with the Parks and Recreation Performing Arts. I have students from 5 to 65. I teach different styles of music and I teach how to read and write music. I make it fun for kids and adults. I also teach beginning Ukulele. Amber discovered early on that singing and making music was her favorite pastime. After high school, she went on to pursue a vocal music degree, graduating with honors in 2005 from East Central University and Ada, Oklahoma. Since that time, she has served in various musical capacities. She has taught beginner band, elementary through high school choir, and general music. I have years of experience as a musician and educator, and I am a multi instrumentalist, which fosters a rounded view concerning different roles in a band or orchestral setting. I also have uears of experience working online through Skype and FaceTime. I earned my B.M.E. From OC, and I am certified by the Oklahoma Department of Education. I enjoy introducing students to the wonder of music and watching them grow and bloom. It is truly rewarding to see someone fall in love with their instrument. I love setting young people up for success in band programs, as well.
