Jose really knows his stuff. With his skillset I met my goals of loosing 50 pounds in 6 months. How did I get there? A balanced diet, core strength workouts, constant guidance and continual improvement through every workout with him. His guidance has changed my life and transformed my body and lifestyle from what I wished it would be to reality.

Jose’s wealth of knowledge about nutrition, training, and how the body responds to training. He can tailor a program for anyone’s needs. I also like that Jose has had his own struggle with weight loss so he knows from experience and practices what he preeches. Not all fitness trainers are certified this isn’t a regulated industry. To get healthy lasting results train with Jose.

The professional level that Jose Rodriguez bring to the train is amazing. He knows how to encourage and challenge us how to become better. He helps me to not give up and follow the train. He is very present and dedicate. I learned with him to face the challenge with power, courage and motivation. Today I know exactly what to do to continue changing my habits and to make my fitness life real deal.

When I started looking for a trainer, I knew that I had to hire someone with a strong personality that wouldn't except any excuses from me. I absolutely loathed excercise or sweating in general!!! Based on previous history, I would provide excuses and reasons for not working out. I knew that for me, I had to have a trainer that would make me accountable. Jose listened to me that first day when I explained what "I" wanted. He then told me what I "needed". He asked me to trust him. After hearing his own weight loss and fitness story, I did just that. He designed a goal/overall fitness plan for me. I wasn't sure it would work but I was certain he wouldn't give up until it did. He and I were an absolute team in this process. Trust me, i didn't make it easy. I challenged and questioned him nearly every time we met. We truly had a love/hate relationship during many of our sessions! :) Jose developed an eating plan for me that worked. I started in October right before the two biggest holidays of the year. I was able to enjoy the holiday season and managed to stay on program during November and December. I thought that I knew everything about nutrition and weight loss. Indeed, I did not. I learned so much from Jose and saw the results I needed and reached my goals by March. I continued working with Jose for the entire year. The first day I started working out with him I couldn't hold a plank for 20 seconds. A year later in October, I was able to hold a plank for over 5 minutes. I was constantly amazed at how much stronger I had become. I would have given up the first day, and Jose wouldn't let me. He provided the encouragement and support I needed but wouldn't let me off the hook either. He always pushed me further and never gave up. If I ever had questions about what I could or couldn't eat, or my fitness plan, he would get back to me immediately. I highly recommend him if you want to see consistent and realistic fitness goals. He has the education and background to back it up and stays on top of all new health and fitness information. In addition to all that he offers, his unique Jose-isms and humor is a bonus.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I start with a discussion to learn your primary motivation and  goals along with assessing how close you are to them.

I have a bachelor degree in Kinesiology and a Masters in Human Service. I was a collegiante Strength Coach for several years. I have trained in MMA as a fighter for over ten years. This included Brazilian jiu jitsu, boxing, judo, and kickboxing. I still compete nationally in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Yes. I offer training by weekly packages in 4 week intervals. the first 4 week package is $400 which includes an average of two sessions a week in person, full online support with weekly meal plans and custom home video workouts. With each 4 week incremt package recieving a greater discount.

How did you get started teaching?

I was a fat kid until I reached high school and got into sports.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with people from all walks of life and age.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I love spartan races and various mud run events

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Review their credentials as we have no governing authority to over see who becomes a trainer and what qualifications they must have. Some of us have degrees in the field and some simply read a book and took a test.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Think about your "Why". its important to have specific goals but what will carry to those goals over tough challenging days is your "why".
