Hello Portland!
My name is Deniz and I'm really excited to share my first ever Lessons.com ad to promote my teaching work.
I hold a bachelor’s in Professional Music from the Berklee College of Music in Boston. I've toured as a solo artist in Europe and Japan, as a guitarist in Turkey, and have played for crowds of thousands –one time it was 15K to be exact!
Lessons with me dive into musical creativity and expression using tools such as songwriting, lyric writing, guitar harmony, theory, learning popular songs, and more.
I'm 34 now but believe it or not I started teaching guitar and bass professionally at the age of 13.
My mother is an English teacher so it's possible that the joy of teaching has been intrinsic to our family. Music is a beautiful path that transcends all borders. I can’t think of a more rewarding experience than to walk it together with others.
I run a music studio at ADX Portland called the Hive Music Hub (which you can find on social media). Teaching is my main gig because it's the one place I can grow myself and the community through music and instantly!
