Brooke Paints

I am an artist classically trained in realism techniques from France and Italy. I have a BA in studio art from UCSD and have been teaching group classes and private lessons (from beginners to advanced) for 8+ years. I help artists develop their own, unique voice and guide them in their artistic pursuits. I enjoy working with amateurs or beginners, because they have no preconceived notions of how things should be done. However, I've helped artists of all skill levels and offer focused, more advanced classes on color theory, portrait painting, plein air landscapes, etc.

If you've been struggling with a painting at home, I'd be happy to help you with it! Bring it to class and we'll infuse it with new energy.

My three hour, one-on-one lessons are designed to include a teacher demonstration, painting time for the student to implement instruction, a critique at the end, and a discussion of projects to work on at home. Small groups 1-3 students also welcome. All materials are included in the cost. Individual classes are $100 each, weekly/monthly discounted rate is $75/class.
