How did you get started teaching?
I've been teaching for over 20 years, almost as much time as I've been performing. I always love the proccess that a dancer goes through as he or she mature with the development of their craft and theirselves, so when an opportunity to be a T.A. appear at the school I was training in Manaus, Amazonas, Brazil, I took whole heartly and never looked back. My passion for teaching helped me to found and develop a social project called Cia. Ballet da Barra, this project uses dance to help children of less privileged areas in Manaus and has define part of my professional career by the love and sense of self fulfillment and purpose on my community.
