A former mentor saw my potential and started me down the path which I am very passionate about and will continue for until I am no longer able.
What types of students have you worked with?
Players ages 7-18 from all sill levels. Some are starting football while others are trying to help their team succeed. Some are trying to play collegiately while others are striving for a D1 scholarship with NFL aspirations.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My favorite events are our 4 day overnight camps becuase it give us the chance to get to know the kids and their personalities. On the final day you get to meet their parents when they come and check their athlete out and l love to report back what has transpired over the four days. You get to see the person grow in just a short four days. It is extrememly rewarding to hear them say "thank you" or to reach out back 6 months or a year later and tell them how much they have improved and they owe it to the training they recieved from us.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is a very tricky proposition to hire someone, or choose a camp for that matter. You can do all the research in the world but once you start the process you may find you don't like their personality or teaching style, which is a part of everyday life. There is nothing like trial an error and experience. Word of mouth recomendations are very powerful as well.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Can you relate to may age bracket? They may be a top College coach as example but do not know how to relate to a child who is 10 years old. If they don't know who to convey that knowledge to you it is not helpful.
What are my goals and what will we do to help me achieve them?
Do you have experience coachinig my position and what is it?
