About
It is always a joy to watch students grow and develop,. Not only from an athletic standpoint, but also personally/professionally. Skills that students learn in sports will often translate into their personal life. Rather it's by giving them a boost in confidence, an edge in competitiveness or just an "I can do it" attitude. The purpose of Pierce Athletic Training is to not only help our students reach the goals they have set, but to also provide them with that one-on-one attention that they need in order to fully reach their individual potential.
The key component to our training is that it is often in a one-on-one environment. This allows for each student to feel comfortable and more open with the instructor. Once together, we will be able to really target and work together on strengthening the areas that they need the most help with. I absolutely enjoy the experience of working with young athletes and the progession they go through overtime. I myself played Basketball and Football, and I have had the pleasure of coaching my daughters' basketball team. Sports/Athletics has always been a passion of mine, and it is because of this that I have started my journey in pursuing my Personal Training and Nutrition Specialist Certifications. I am ready to assist the next generation of young athletes in reaching their full potential.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When meeting new students, we will sit down and have a quick chat to get to know one another a little better. I will mainly be listening during the first meet, as I want to hear mainly from the student and parent about their needs. Once I get a good idea of what the student is looking for and we decide we are a good fit for one another, I will then develop a gameplan that will help the student reach their goals.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard price is $35-$40 per session, but as every circumstance is different and other factors may come into play, pricing is subject to change.
How did you get started teaching?
While I have always had passion and interest for sports and in teaching it, my daughter coming of age and having a vested interest in sports has really pushed me to want to make it permanent thing.
What types of students have you worked with?
I typically work with kids aged 5-17.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Before hiring a teacher for anything, but especially sports, it is important to make sure that the teacher is offering a service that you need and not only offering it, but has a great deal of knowledge about that particular sport and area of concern that you need assistance with. Along with that, make sure the teacher is capable of translating that knowledge into a practice in order to meet your needs and that they are also passionate about the sport and about how they teach it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It is important as a student to really dig deep and contemplate what you feel you need to work on. Of course, once you meet with an instructor, they will evaluate you and give their recommendations on what you should target. But as a student, you should always have your own questions and thoughts about your current performance level and what level you are trying to attain. So, it is important to sit down and come up with a few things you feel you need to improve on and bring those to your instructor to address.
