About
Hello! My name is McKenzie and I am a certified Mindfulness Coach and 500 RYT Yoga Instructor. My goal is to help you explore and discover your heartfelt desires through mindful and embodied practices such as movement of the body or working through releasing limiting beliefs and judgments from the mind. I incorporate accessibility, compassion, and connection by taking the time to work with you one-on-one as we work as a team towards your daily and life goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with clients for the first time we will meet and go over an introduction intake. I want to get to know you and what has brought you to work with me. It is important that we set goals and milestones for the time we are working together. This is important, so you know where you have started and where you want to be. From here, we set up a plan on moving forward and how you want to do so. This is teamwork and we will work together as one.

How did you get started teaching?
I began doing this work based on my love for yoga. I have been practicing yoga since I was a teenager and I love not only the movement and flow of yoga, but the philosophy behind yoga. There are many tools we can use in our daily lives that haven't been explored, and I could learn about mindfulness coaching and expand my learning and exploration into this frontieer early on.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of clientele; my focus is to bring inclusivity and accessibility to all.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am currently in the early stages of working on yoga therapy. This is something that will take a few years, but it has been an eye-opening experience to so much already. The information I have learned and been able to apply to my surrounding life has taught me so much. It takes dedication to the work, but is more than fufilling.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Take the time to determine your readiness to do the work and find the right person to work with. The connection with your provider is just as important as the work itself.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I open to change? Can I see through another’s perception, or am I steadfast in my view of the world? What am I looking to gain from this?
