About
My name is Coach Petterson and I love coaching and developing young athletes.
I started playing football in my backyard with my Dad and 3 younger brothers and eventually ended up playing wide receiver for the University of Michigan. While there, our team won the Big Ten Championship and the Rose Bowl Championship (along with 2 other Bowl games) and I was selected 1st Team Academic All-Big Ten. I was also the recipient of the Merrill Lynch-Heisman Award recognizing the University of Michigan's #1 scholar-athlete.
By the way, 2 of my 3 younger brothers also played D1 football...Darren played receiver on Michigan's 1997 National Championship Team and Andy played for Michigan State. No comment on the latter...:)
On a serious note, as a former receiver, my specialty is receiving skills, which is particularly helpful for wide receivers, tight ends, running backs and defensive backs.
In addition to offering lessons, I also run summer flag football camps in Brentwood, Franklin and East Nashville. The proceeds from the Brentwood and Franklin camps allow us to provide free football camps for fatherless children in innercity Nashville though a program called Receiving Jesus Football Camps.

I have also started up IMPACT Football, which is a "limited contact" football league aimed at reducing head trauma in young players. The players wear helmets and full pads but we have modified the rules to eliminate all head-to-head contact and significantly reduce all "head-to-anything" contact. If you are interested in hearing more about this new league, please let me know as well.
Thanks and Blessings,
Chad
