I retired eight years ago as a full time art teacher in the Fort Worth I.S.D. where I was employed for 17 years. Before I was a teacher, I worked as a graphic artist for 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Fine Art’s degree from U.T.A. & a Master of Liberal Art from T.C.U. My love of Art is a passion that I will always enjoy & I get so much enjoyment from inspiring others in my passion. Anybody can learn how to draw or paint. It doesn’t matter whether you are a beginner or have been creating art all your life. You can always learn new techniques, perspectives and applications. I am a practicing public artist, creative director, and art instructor based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Fredonia, where I also began my teaching career as an instructor in painting, sculpture, and multimedia visual arts. Internationally recognized watercolor artist/teacher. I have taken students to France and Croatia for one and two week workshops. I have been teaching since 1991. I love the medium of watercolor, although it is the hardest medium to learn. I have won the Strathmore International Card Competition, and numerous local contests. I believe that art is interdisciplinary. Art demands knowledge and critical thought, not to mention letting go of what you know so you can recreate what you see. I focus on form and content to make you a better artist from the ground up.

I am calm and patient and a good listener. I understand the the elements of art and design and the technique of acrylic and watercolor painting. I can teach drawing as well. I use short fun activities to introduce my students to color, line, shape, value before taking on a finished painting. I love to teach art and meet knew people.

My business stands out by the unique ceramic pieces I create. Along with the ceramic pieces, I also create ceramic art jewelry. With being an Art teacher in Dallas ISD, I'm familiar with many techniques. I participate in vendor and craft fairs. I have and will continue to be a vendor at MayFest in Ft. Worth, TX! My business has recently expanded into offering creative art workshops for businesses and organizations. Art therapy workshops are also available.
