David Brannock‘s love of baseball began when he started TBall at four years old and hasn’t stopped. He grew up in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, where he went to state championships with his AAU teams and regional championships with his high school team. David stayed in the Hampton Roads area and was recruited to play Division I baseball at Old Dominion University. He spent several years training with Gary Lavelle strictly on pitching. Mr. Lavell also coached the Upton brothers before they went on to play professionally. David left Old Dominion to join the United States Marine Corps and is still an active member of the USMC reserves. Prior to joining the Austin batting cages staff full-time, David serve the Austin community as a police officer.
David’s Individual and Team coaching is based on:
⁃ Building players confidence both on & off the field
⁃ Player/person development
⁃ Teamwork & teammate accountability
⁃ Situational and positional awareness both offensively as well as defensively.
Quote: Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game.
