Picking a teacher is so important. I give a free 30 minute trial lesson so you can see if I am a good fit for you or your child.
I love being able to share my knowledge and excitement for what I do. Be it talking about the ins and outs of the saxophone or clarinet or just talking about and listening to examples of great music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
All students are different. My approach is to tailor lessons to each student. So getting to know the student and finding out what their goals are is important to me.

How did you get started teaching?
I have always enjoyed practicing and playing music. Passing along this passion to others seemed like a logical path for me.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types. Students starting from step one. Advanced jazz improvisers, classical students, students wanting to play blues and rock gigs.

Recording my first jazz album with great musicians and friends.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try and find someone who knows the instrument and has spent time learning their craft. Take the role of the student and be humble and willing to learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I willing to devote a little time each day to practicing and listening?
