The great thing about bowling is that there are SO many ways to get the ball down the lane and through the pins. I work with each bowler's individual style, tweaking and fine tuning as we go. A strong foundation in the basics is a great way to build an incredible bowler.
I typically work with youth and adult beginners and I love seeing the moment when something clicks, that moment of clarity when the practice and timing and everything else falls into place. The moment when you roll a solid shot and it feels good, you know it from the moment it comes off your hand! I love helping bowlers do more than they thought they could. Building confidence in their game, their skills is important and I'm so glad that I can be a part of that!
She knows exactly what I need to improve and gave a simple tip that I can correct. She just start her lesson where my level is, what my needs are. Above all, I enjoyed so much and the time flied, even I did bowling an hour by myself, who is so easily getting tired after a game. I met a right person.
She’s so nice and encouraging! She made it fun and time just flew by! Gave some great tips!
Jen is so nice. Gave helpful hints. She made it really fun!! Time just flew by! She’s great!
Jen is very easy to work with. She has a low-key approach and offers help and suggestions in a very supportive manner. She helped me improve my approach and delivery and to gain some confidence in myself as a bowler.
I start by watching each bowler go through their normal approach and delivery. Video recordings may be taken to help with analyzing the delivery and will be shared with students. Once a starting point is established, we work on the basics: footwork, timing, delivery, etc. Drills may be given as 'homework' to help reinforce what we started in lessons.
I've been bowling for 20+ years. I have my Level 1 Certification for youth, beginning adult bowlers or those looking to get 'back to the basics'. Previously, I've coached youth soccer and worked in the Children's Ministry in church. I'm a mom to 4 wonderful kids too!
Lessons start at $35 per hour which includes lane fees/shoes. Private and Group lessons are available. Unless otherwise arranged, lessons are given at AMF Lewisville.
Hire a teacher/coach that you feel comfortable with. If you don't feel like you can connect, you'll have a much harder time learning a new skill. Don't feel that you have to pay 'top dollar' to get a worthwhile coach, either. If you're still unsure, do 1 lesson with the coach. You should have a much better idea of how that coach operates by the end of the lesson. Make a better informed decision then.
What do you want to accomplish?
What's your biggest struggle?
Lessons are an investment. Often, a coach will asign 'homework' (drills/practices) to help reinforce principles worked on. Will you have the time to do the homework assigned?
