About

I'm a professional double bassist who teaches double bass, electric bass, cello, and piano. I've work with students from as young to 3 and all the way up to adult students. I've taken numerous Suzuki training courses and focus on a way of teaching that encourages mindfulness, body awareness, and performance psychology.

I love seeing students grow and develop both as musicians and people, as often times the kind of problem solving and dedication music requires layer onto all other aspects of life.

    Frequently asked questions

The first lesson will always involve going over what a student's personal goals are with their instrument. From there we will begin working on a custom program that emphasizes building towards that goal in one half, and focusing on fundamentals and body awareness in the other half, althought these two parts often end up overlapping!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Bass performance from Texas Tech University as well as Performer's Diploma from Southern Methodist University.

I have taken multiple training courses with the Suzuki Associations of America and am an active Suzuki Teacher.

My standard pricings are $30/half hour lesson, and $60/hour lesson.
