DALLAS WING TSUN KUNG FU
About
We are an authorized Leung Ting WingTsun Kung Fu School. Grandmaster Leung Ting was the last "private" student of Great Grandmaster Ip Man. Sifu Jason is a grandstudent of Grandmaster Leung Ting of Kowloon, Hong Kong and visits with his Si-kung annually.
We teach Chinese kung fu self-defense / life concepts. One concept is to yield to a greater force or, to give way to the demands and pressures of daily life. We have 12 student grades, 4 technician grades, and 4 master level practician grades. Like most Chinese kung fu - there is no finish line bc one can continue learning for life.
WingTsun allows someone to express themselves honestly by being flexible. We learn to borrow and return energy internally and externally.

How did you get started teaching?
As you progress in kung fu, teaching becomes imperative in the honing of one's reflexes and knowledge, plus being asked to open a school in my hometown by the founder is a great honor.
What types of students have you worked with?
WingTsun was made a woman in ancient China to defeat men in seconds so we train mostly adults. We also offer a kids kung fu anti-bullying program.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
With branches in over 65 countries, you quickly develop friendships with people from all around the world. Plus visiting Hong Kong on a regular basis to train with Grandmaster Leung Ting is priceless.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
WingTsun is based on the human anatomy so be prepared to unravel all the knots and tensions that were previously undetectable. Also humble yourself and be willing to learn because all feedback is through biomechanics.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Kung fu takes practice and self-analysis. I can guarantee your success if you can attend 3 times per week.
