I focus on caregivers who need more strategies ensuring they are are well and able to give the time that Neurodiverse / more involved children who could benefit from co - regulating and awareness of ones body to notice how emotions effect tolerance and mood.
I enjoy exploring and creating unique new individualized movements, communication, and more with clients so they better understand their needs and can communicate these to others.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I have them tell me of any injuries or major surgeries thay have had.
I ask how long they have been practices and if they prefer one type of yoga over others. Adding if they prefer repition or for me to switch it up.
Through out workling with clients / students I renforce "this is your practice". I like to ask their idea of what yoga is, and I may share any knowledge if some misbelieves are shared.
I like to begin reviewing or imtroducing props as well where they can be found, or that they can show me 5 if they need anything through out our practice.
I also model safety while explaining how important it is for spinal alingment and proper weight distribution as to not cause injuries or pain.
Have fun, make it personal, and allow for feed so I can meet their expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
200 hrs of intensive yoga teacher training. 3 weeks 7am to 7pm in Austin, TX. Breathe 4 Change. This included Socal Emotion Learning trainging as well
300 hr yoga teacher training. Yoga Renew.
I stay connected to both programs utilizing their webinars and zoom classes.

How did you get started teaching?
I was burned out after teaching special education for 10 years.
I found, Yoga with Adriane on You Tube and began doing a daily practice following her channel. After 1 year, I enrolled in the 200hr yoga teacher training. I first just wanted to expand my own practice and learn more about yoga history and the poses.
