About this pro

Hey! My names Amanda and I am the owner of Think Limitless, a Stress Management Consulting Company. I am a Certified Yoga Instructor, Dynamic Mindfulness Certified Trainer, and Stress Management Consultant with over 8 years of experience. I have a Bachelor's Degree from The University of Kansas in Management & Leadership, with a Concentration in Human Resources, and a Master's Degree from Baker University in Organizational Leadership.

My company serves as an Ambassador for The Niroga Institute, a Community Partner for The Yoga & Body Image Coalition, and a Circle Facilitator for Off The Mat Into The World. I am a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher at Mastermind Meditate and help facilitate trainings for the Emerging Teacher Institute.

At Think Limitless we use scientifically supported mindfulness practices as a tool for teaching stress management and self-care. We facilitate industry specific workshops, encouraging others to find accessible ways to address and dissolve their stress.

Think Limitless takes a preventative approach to Stress Management by teaching trauma informed and accessible tools that can be implemented anytime, anywhere, to build your resilience to Stress.

I've had the opportunity to share my practice with a number of individuals, organizations, and companies in the DFW Metroplex. In addition to workshops, I teach wellness classes, personalizing each session to meet the needs of my clients. The ultimate goal is to strengthen your stress tolerance, resilience, and to promote wellness in your daily life.

I LOVE teaching yoga, coaching mindfulness, and all things that challenge others to maximize their potential and create great days!

Prior to becoming a Stress Management Consultant, I worked in Corporate America and then as a 2nd grade reading teacher. There was one thing that was universal across my different jobs - stress. I realized, we're smack dab in the middle of a stress epidemic, yet, noones helping us to manage it! So I decided to shift my desire to work in Human Resources within the workplace to being a resource to multiple humans outside the workplace. (Or inside, I do corporate wellness too! ;-))

I love that I get to see people find joy, organically. I've taught in some amazing spaces and to see people say things like, "I didn't know I could feel this relaxed on my own", or, "I feel like a kid again", is always so rewarding.

I love watching these practices empower people and that it's not just fluff - I've got the science to back it up.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

For new students I like to either grab coffee or hop on a Skype call and talk to you about your practice and what you are looking for in a teacher.

I want to know who you are and who you want to be - then figure out ways to help you get there!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Certified Yoga Instructor RYT200

Certified Dynamic Mindfulness Trainer

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My private wellness classes start at $100/session and vary depending on distance for traveling.

How did you get started teaching?

When I was in college my mom introduced me to yoga as an outlet for my anxiety and depression. After falling in love with it, I created a business plan in my Entrepreneurship class for 'A Peace of Yoga'. In this plan, me and my mother were going to become yoga instructors and start teaching yoga all around the Kansas City area to people who weren't familiar with the healing powers of this practice.

Now, obviously, I live in Dallas - but this company is a family business that we share because we know the power of the practice and value being advocates for bringing diversity to the practice.

What types of students have you worked with?

I've taught everywhere you could possibly imagine! From closets, to living rooms, to parks, to classrooms, to studios, to offices - there's no student I haven't worked with!

My vision is to provide a safe and accessible space for people of all ages, genders, shapes, physical capabilities, and economic backgrounds, to tap into their underutilized potential and help them create great days through yoga, mindfulness, and meditation.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I work with a group of teenage girls in Dallas who always challenge me to find ways to make the practice more interesting and engaging. I love working with them because I can only imagine what my life and resilience would have looked like if I had this practice at a younger age. They energize me and motivate me to be the best teacher for them.

60+ teenage girls practicing yoga, it makes my day everytime.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Choose a teacher that you feel a connection with. Someone who listens to your concerns and is willing to learn about who you are and what you best need to strengthen your practice.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are my personal goals and will this teacher help me accomplish them?

What do I have in common with this teacher, will we be able to build a releationship?

How often do I need to work with my instructor to accomplish my goals?
