What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I first get to know the client and see if they have any restrictions.  I then explain how the lesson will work and at the end of the on-lane instruction, we review their video which is sent to them after the lesson.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have over 25 years of professional bowling experience and over 15 years of on-lanes and in classroom training as a coach. I am a USBC Silver Certified Coach and have trained with some of the best coaches in the world throughout my career.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$65.00 per hour

How did you get started teaching?

Coaching has always been a part of my bowling career on and off the lanes.  Throughout my career I have worked with some of the best bowling coaches in the world and there passion helped me to understand our sport in a different manner.

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with all ages and anyone from beginner to scratch tournament bowlers.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Each year Del and I host Ballard vs. The Big "C" Striking Back to Spare more Lives, our bowling charity event that helps in the fight against Cancer.  Del is a 7 year survivor and out of the love of one man we have been able to help many.  We have raised over $250,000 in the past 5 years.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for someone who is not trying to change you to be something you are not.  Look for someone who will enhance your good qualities and fine tune other aspects of your game.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

I believe th student should ask their teaching method and them explain what they the student is looking to accomplish.  Good teachers will help this process along while enhancing other qualities that the students have.
