Frequently asked questions

New students go through an intake process and are required to take 3 private sessions before entering classes.

All of our teachers have extensive training.  I hold a certificate with the Pilates Method Alliance and am required to complete 16 CEC’s every two years in order to keeep my certification.

We offer various packages depending on the students needs.  We have Class packages, Private sessions and Semi-Private sessions. Students can purchase packages of 4, 8, and 12 sessions or can choose a monthly package.

I practiced Pilates prior to entering a teacher training program.  I trained and became certified while living outside Chicago, IL

I have worked with every type of student, from student athletes, to busy professionals, pre and post surgery, students looking for strength, balance and flexibility, to retirees and professional athletes.  I have also had a student that was completely blind.

I am always fond of my CEC classes and recently attended the Arcus course, where I learned to work with a new piece of apparatus.

I would advise a student to call or visit the studio.   Make sure that the studios “style” of teaching and the teachers certifications/education meet your expectations and needs.  Make sure to check the teachers availability and ask about cancellation policies.

Students should think through their expectations and goals and if they are ready to commit to a regular Pilates practice.  If injuries or contraindications are present make sure you can discuss those with your teacher and that they are comfortable working with you.
