Real Deal McNeal Tactical Football Field Training
About
There are fine details to the game of football that are commonly missed, even at the highest playing level. I was fortunate to have coaches in middle school and high school that ran their football training programs similar to military training programs. I attended a Federal Service Academy for college (US Merchant Marine Academy-Kings Point, NY) where I broke numerous rushing and scoring records while leading the team in receptions becoming the 2nd NCAA All-American in the school's 75 year history. I was inducted into the USMMA Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019 http://usmmasports.com/honors/hall-of-fame and am a former Marine Corps Officer. I know what it takes to succeed athletically at a high level. This may sound cliche, but it is much more than merely athletic ability. I may have only had 75% of the talent but I had 3 times the heart. With enough time and enough effort from your child, I will not only condition the body but will cultivate the mind to prepare them to play this or any sport they choose with the correct mindset.
I always considered coaching but seized the opportunity when my son became old enough to play. In our first year we finished the season with a 5-1 record, outscoring our opponents 127-38 and winning the championship. Some of the kids had raw talent while others needed development. I loved coaching all of them, but i particularly enjoyed seeing success through their diligent application of football fundamentals no matter what level they started at. I am a father of three boys myself as well as an attorney in Houston. Later this year I will be certified as an NFL agent. I am looking forward to getting on the field with your child and teaching them the lessons that have greatly contributed to my success on and off the field.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I always have a conversation with the parent to learn what the child has done athletically prior to coming to me. That gives me a perspective on what athletic experience and training the child has had. Afterwards I will take the child and, after warmups and stretching, put them through a set of drills that will show me where their strengths and weaknesses are. By that time I can generally tell what position the child wants to play but will talk to them about it nonetheless. I thereafter create a plan based on all the information I've gathered to properly mold the training to the child's abilities and goals.
