Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The firs "getting to know you" session is just $39. From there we have an introductory series of 3 private sessions. The goal of the intro-series is to prepare you to join a class in progress, or for you to decide that you would prefer private sessions. Our classes are leveled. We will suggest an appropriate class for your ability level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Co-Owners Michelle Long and Cody Robbins have 30 years combined experience. They are comprehensively certified through PEAK Pilates, and have received certifications from Karin Locher | Spacial Medicine... teaching movement with a fascia approach. We have "Buff Bones®" certification for those with osteoporosis or concerns about bone health and Rossiter...a fascial approach to pain relief.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
All pricing is available on our website.
How did you get started teaching?
I was taking Pilates as suggested from my chiropractor as a solution for backpain, who later asked me to get certified to work in his studio.
What types of students have you worked with?
Athetes, backpain, spinal issues, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, and pregnancy.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Always clients gaining new body awareness. Our HFD Fireman/bodybuilder comes to us for backpain relief and to restore flexibility. He is now the quickest into his fire suit and quicker to the truck.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Get a Teacher with experience. Equpment Classes should be a maximum of 5 people. Beware of cheaper Pilates classes. It's for a reason.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
"Empty your cup". Be open to new information.
