Hello! My name is Francesca and I love to paint. I specialize in animal and people portraits. I give drawing lessons as well as acrylic painting lessons. I teach children as well as adults. I hope you will join me to either learn to paint or brush up on your chops. I love every bit of the process of painting. I love coming up with ideas of what to paint, mixing colors and deciding on composition and finally fishing the painting.

I bring over 22 years of teaching experience, along with a broad knowledge of artistic styles, techniques, and mediums. My lessons are personalized, encouraging creativity, confidence, and growth at each student’s pace. Beyond technique, I believe art is deeply connected to self-expression, reflection, and healing, which creates a meaningful and encouraging learning environment. I am a native Houstonian who loves art. Although my strengths are mostly in comic/pop art, I have extensive experience in other themes such as portraiture, landscapes, and graphic design. I'm very much the traditional artist because I love working with media such as pencils, paint on paper and canvas, but I also delve into the digital world with apps like Photoshop & procreate. I love to teach & train others, either individually or in a group. I think everyone has some artistic abilities. But remember, art can't be rushed, so patience is 50% of the investment. Art for All is a casual and warm way to learn about art. Our small or private classes allow for one on one time with the instructor to understand a bit of art history while being introduced tontechniques such as drawing, watercolor and mixed media art. Yvonamor Palix is French/Mexican and has a degree in art from the ESAM (École Supérieure des Arts Modernes) in Paris. She has owned and operated two international art galleries and still does private consulting and curating in Houston at her space called ARTíQUE in the Historic Houston Heights.

The Urban Easel, located in Webster, Texas, is a unique community hub that offers a diverse range of art and music lessons for all ages and skill levels. They specialize in a variety of mediums, including acrylics, watercolors, and clay, helping to express your artistic view. Beyond visual arts, The Urban Easel also provides lessons in piano, guitar, percussion, ukulele, and string instruments. They also host fun BYOB paint parties, making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone in the community.

Our specialty is painting, printing and dyeing on fabric. There are so many possibilities, from abstract to intricate details, and from one of a kind, to multiple prints. My degree is in fine arts, but I have always created with fabric. I have taught across the US, Japan and Canada with Quilt and Art Guilds and Schools. I started at age 8, learning to sew, as I wanted to make my own clothes. In college I broadened my skills with a degree in art.
