Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first start with a new Athlete I establish the rules. Rule #1 Safety. The most important aspect of training, because injuries can slow or stop progressing so every move has to be determined during the initial assessment. Rule #2 3 R's Respectful, Responsible, and Resourceful. These are the keys to success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Im Certified NASM,CPR/AED, USA FOOTBALL, MYSPORT FOOTBALL, FIT TOUR GROUP TRAINING, USA GYM CERT Gymnastics Coach, SPORTS REHABILITATION CERTIFICATION, TRX, and currently working on NASM Sport Performance Specialist.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Im a trainer on wheels but due to time and gas there is a price differential of $20. Yes I do home visits, in home rehabilitation programs. I also do buddy referral, group training discounts. If athlete shows up on time three sessions consecutively ask about FREE session. Each session is a hour to 2 hours depending on how much information needs to be covered.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was in the Military I created a passion to help others pass there fitness test, by teaching them and coaching them to success. After my contract I continued to learn and be taught by other Trainers and Coaches. With the ability to learn and teach I have successfully trained hundreds to not depend on a trainer but to learn and grow into a successful Athlete, and individual.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of clients males and females. Overweight, Underweight, All Athletes looking to better there performance, and needing rehabilitation, elderly, and young children.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always ask a lot of questions. There is no such thing as a dumb question. If the teacher or coach do not connect with you on a driven level to success change coaches. Always keep your options open but show up to All booked sessions. Speaking for myself I put time into every session the clients personal need, the set of of drills, and breakdown of teaching how to make every session successful is more than training its learning why there doing isometrics or Plyometrics or interval training, on any given day. The goal is to have a plan.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about how bad do you want to reach your goal. How dedicated are you, and are you willing to sacrifice, because EVERY SUCCESSFUL Athlete has ALL made sacrifices. Half stepping is never tolerated. Set a goal build a support team then execute. Never set outrageous goals keep in mimd nothing happens over night. Be patient stay calm and think how bad do I want this?
