What is your typical process for working with a new student?

i Introduce myself, discuss the student’s needs, and take some notes to create a plan together. Then, I request a writing sample from a few provided topics, so I can ascertain strengths and weaknesses.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Certified 6-12 English teacher with 8 years classroom experience, various additional training seminars in Advanced Placement, Gifted and Talented, STAAR test-taking, ESL, etc. Nine years of tutoring experience.
