    Frequently asked questions

All my new students begin with a simple assesment period to establish where they currently are int heir joury with their primary instrument, their goals, and how we can work together to accomplish them, whether that be to work on UIL materials, or properly prepare their playing to a standard that allows them to perform at a high level at their Band program and beyond.

I have a bachelors in Music performance from UTSA under the instruction of Dr. Rachel Woolf

My lessons start at $25 per lesson/hour

I have worked with students from the age of 11 to the age of 50

A recent even I am fond of is the Christmas concert series with the San Antonio Community Wind Ensemble. It was a joyous event where I got to reunite with old collegues and perform for the community again in front of people once more.

A student should prepare one or two excerpts from repitoire they are currently studying either from a band program or from their church repitore. The student should also brainstorm possible goals they would like accomplish on their instrument, examples being; get through the berbiguier etude book, perform their favorite french flute piece, or even get through their beginning flute book.
