Hi! I’m Kat. I’ve been teaching partner dance styles for over 15 years, specializing in Ballroom, Latin, and Wedding dances. My dance training ranges from ballet and musical theater to Afro Cuban and International Ballroom. I firmly believe that cross-training provides a unique perspective when it comes to teaching. My passion is bringing dance to anyone and everyone, and giving my students the best experience possible. Founded in Bethesda, Maryland, Attitude en Pointe LLC is a Latino and women-owned ballet academy that opens its doors to all aspiring dancers, regardless of their age or experience level. The company is dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional African dance and drumming. They provide a wide range of services including performances, workshops, educational tours, and an annual conference. Their aim is to enrich American cultural heritage, promote intercultural understanding, and introduce the essence of African dance to wider audiences. With over 35 years in operation, KanKouran continues to contribute significantly to the extension of the arts.
