He taught us – a multi-generational group of three extended family members ranging in age from 6 to 70 years – a two-hour art making class, twice monthly. Every class was different. He introduced us to drawing with pencil and charcoal (focus), pastels, linoleum print making, etc. We did not only use a variety of materials but also used a range of techniques and sources of inspiration. He also brought into his instruction other artists’ works, even musical pieces, which we incorporated into our own creative process.
