Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am currently only doing Zoom class with clients that are on a one on one basis so I am able to watch the clients form and create instruction based soley on the clients needs. I love the practice of Pilates and will walk anyone new to the practice step by step to become stronger and more balanced.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have completed the full certification hours and studies needed to become a instructor through Balanced Body.
I have taught Pilates in a class setting and in private one on one settings for 10+ years and have been doing the practice for over 15 years. I have taught for large gym's/studios such as Equinox as well as small independant studios in the Washington DC area.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Since now doing Zoom classes the class is 25.00$ for 60 Min. The client will simply need a mat yet if they have other props such as a majic circle or weights I will incorporate these into the lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching about 5 years after finding the practice for myself. I found that it was so very helpful for me I wanted to share it with others. Once I began teaching I fell in love with doing it and seeing people improve over all abilities.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students of all ages. I will taylor the work out to YOU and what it is you need. I enjoy working with level one as much as I do with a level 3 client.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am proud to say that I am embrasing the changes going on in the world the best I know how and creating a space via Zoom to continue to teach my passion.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you are brand new to the practice it will be very slow in the begining yet I promise you it will get easier and more dynamic as you grow stronger.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What it is you wish to achieve.
