I have taken beginning sculpture classes from Jon-Joseph once a week for over six months, starting with clay reliefs. Jon-Joseph has been very methodical, patient, and hands-on with teaching sculpture. I have benefited a lot in terms of the application of tools and methods, anatomical details, perspective, shadows, and overall approach to sculpting. I would highly recommend one-on-one classes with him. As a result, my sculpting improved significantly in such a short time. I will continue to work with him as there is much more to learn and practice. It is a pleasure and privilege to have the opportunity to work with such an accomplished artist and great teacher.

I liked Carlos's overall sensibility. He encouraged us in our efforts at personal expression; he always had praise. But he also challenged us to grow and stretch and would point out weakness that needed more practice. The exercises he gave us in our sessions were extremely creative. I learned so much about letting go, about how to free my hand and mind, how to be whatever artist I wanted to be instead of fearing that I wasn't "doing it right."

We were very satisfied with Betsy's art and teaching skills when she worked with our student organization for a painting fundraiser in December 2020. Betsy had a great setup and knew how to work with our audience of over 100 people. Betsy was eager to work with us when we explained what our event was and stayed in constant communication with us as we shared our event visions.
