I have been a long time avid sewer for over two decades. I learned as a child and ran with it. Using this skill to create clothing as well as costumes. I was formally traind as a young adult and worked professionally as a seamstress for many years. I have extensive knowlage from cosplay to couture and love to share what I know with others.
Sewing has been a love of mine ever since my mother taught me as a child. I recently strated to teach others and It has been such a pleasure to share that joy. Helping others bring their visions to life is what I enjoy the most.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Starting with a new student I like to first get them feeling comfertable with sewing both by machine and by hand with a few simple exercises on scrap fabric. From there we can start diving into projects. Simple ones at first such as a skirt. With this the student can familarize themselves with fallowing patterns and choosing fabrics. As the student progesses we can move on to more dificult projects and eventually guide them through creating their own patterns and designs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been sewing for over 2 decades now both as a hobbiest and a profetional. I started as a child learning from my mother and presuing it though costume making as a teen. As a young adult I refined my skill though internships and worked as a seamstress and costumer.

I recently got started teaching when a friend of mine wanted to take sewing lessons from me. I enjoyed it emensly and wanted to branch out to share my knwolage with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with youn adults with no previus experience.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should consider why they want to learn and what kind of projects they are intrested in. Is theis for a hobby? Are you looking to start your own fashion line? Are you more intrested in fashion or costuming?
The more the teacher understands what kind of sewing you want to do the better able they are to tailor the lessons to you individualy.
