About

Awarded DC’s Ayurvedic Expert for 2019 by Top Doctor’s Interviews and featured in Your Health Magazine, Alejandra Quiñonez underwent her yoga teacher training in 2012 in Goa, India.

Alejandra’s passion for natural medicine led her to seek to develop further in the healing arts by undergoing trainings in Reiki and Ayurveda, and has hosted trainings of her own with workshops like Ayurveda 101, Ayurveda for Yoga Teachers, and Ayurvedic Nutrition.

She currently teaches corporate, group and private yoga lessons within government contracts, residential contracts and educational contracts. She teaches yoga para niños en español, works individually with several clients (supporting their preventative wellness lifestyle and creating wellness plans), and hosts Ayurvedic yoga retreats on the East Coast. Alejandra encourages her client’s and community to become the artist of their wellness.

I love empowering people with their wellness. So many health gurus love to keep a client latching on to the, unwilling to let them go, once they have learned what they've needed. I love seeing people grow through their experience until they are the expert!

    PRIVATE YOGA

    Private Yoga Sessions provide individualized attention on your specific needs, based on your specific desires as a yogi. If you wish to have a vigorous class and practice inversions, you can choose to have an energizing class. If you are feeling very stressed out, you can choose to have a session that focuses on relaxation. Or, if you want to deepen your meditation practice you can choose to have a private meditation session. Sessions generally last 75 minutes.

    WELLNESS PACKAGES

    Understanding that Yoga is a holistic system that is not just a physical exercise, Wellness Plans offer lifestyle support, including 8-12 private sessions per month. Packages include Ayurvedic Consultation (to determine your needs and goals), Private Yoga sessions, nutrition classes and 1 personalized guided meditation audio. Recognizing that habits are solidified in ~30 days, shortest wellness packages contain 30 days of a transformational lifestyle experience.

    Your first yoga session will be priced at $60/ hour. After your first session, one off sessions are $120/ hour.

    If you are interested in a package of 4 sessions for one month, the cost goes down to $200. 8 sessions for the month is $360. All sessions must be completed within the month.

    The 8 session package is really the most value. In 8 sessions, we can start to individualize your wellness regimine to include your Ayurvedic Consultation, individualize your yoga sessions based on your Ayurvedic bodytype/ your wellness goals, and even looking into your nutrition from an Ayurvedic persepctive. In addition, you will learn Ayurvedic principles and how to incorporate them into your lifestyle.

    I have worked with everyone from Navy Nurse Vets to Heart Surgeons. My favorite clients come from the scientific background, and they get very excited when they start to see the parallel between natural, spiritual based medicine systems and allopathic western medicine based systems.

    I have a client who has been taking sessions with me since January 2019 (written in March 2019). At first, she was unable to lie down on the ground in savasana without back pain and a bolster under her knees (swayback). Now, after plenty of different types of stretching classes targeting all the areas of the body, she can lie down comfortably without experience the pinching in the lower back.
