About
I'm a certified VA-based Yoga Instructor, practicing for the last 20 years, and teaching for the last 5. Having experienced first-hand the profound and transformative power of Yoga, I am happy to share this holistic science with my students. By integrating the body, mind and spirit, I help students find their own path to a healthy body, peaceful mind, and a joyous and purposeful life.
I teach classical Integral Yoga, which includes Hatha Yoga, Pranayam, Meditation, & Relaxation.
I design my classes to incorporate a gentle but complete asana practice, breathing, and relaxation. I offer alternatives and various options, to make the practice accessible to all, and to address the needs of students with specific requirements or issues! I love to hear from the students how some of their long-standing issues have been resolved and removed. It is very fulfilling to see how the practice transforms the lives of students for the better!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I talk to the student first to see what they're looking for, and if my class will be a good fit for them. If it'll be a good fit, I offer them a free trial class to try out. I also provide them tips and suggestions for starting and developing a successful and regular yoga practice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides the Yoga Alliance certification, I am certified in “The Anatomy of Yoga” and “Yoga Nidra “. I have also taught Pranayam and Meditation classes, Yoga for Weight Loss, Yoga for Backache, Kids Yoga, and private classes for adults and kids.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Classes are session based, $12/class.
Private classes are higher, depending on length of class and other factors.
How did you get started teaching?
Yoga was a life-changing and transformative practice for me. After learning and practicing yoga for many years, I felt I wanted to give back and share the practice from which I had received so much! I then took formal certifications and workshops, and have been teaching ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, from kids aged 7+, to seniors. My oldest student is 67 years old.
I’ve taught students who were new to yoga, and those who have been practicing for many years.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Get to know the teacher and ask for a trial class. You could even speak to some of her/his current students. Not every class is for every student. Sometimes you just have to try out several before you find the right one!
