What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I do a phone discovery session where me and the client get to know each other. I learn what their goals are, their current fitness level, their likes and dislikes about working out and eating properly, then together we figure out the best program for them to achieve desired goals.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am certified through one of the top personal training certification agencies: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). I have been a fitness director of a Large Naval base and I have owned my own business for over 12 years.

In my over 25 years in the fitness world I have worked with civilians, military personnel and their family members of all ages. people with special needs. I have worked with individuals 12 through 70 years of age.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I do have a fixed pricing schedule that 90% of my folks follow.  10% of my client don't fit in any of my fixed pricing and we work together to figure out which services best work for them.

How did you get started teaching?

I got into fitness by accident. I love helping others and i was doing it as a hobby working with friends and they were always suggesting that I do it for a living.  I starting doing Bootcamp classes for free at a local park , i had abpout 15 people and when fall came I told them i would be stopping the class until the following spring and they didnt want to stopped, it forced me to find a building to continue the class and the rest is history 12 years later still in business..and I love it!!

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with many different age groups. My typical client is female, married with children, ages 32-55.

Have a conversation with the trainer to see if you're a good fit. also, look at their fees, if they are really low for your area be wary of that trainer, do they have the experience to help you get to your goal safely?

if they are super expensive really look at what all you will receive in your time with them.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

1. Am I really Committed?

2. Am I willing or able to Give up some free time to get fit?

3. How often am i willing to workout?

4. Will I truly commit to following the advise of the fitness pro?

5. What am i willing to invest to get the best results?
