About
I have been teaching since August 2015 and have accumulated over 800 hours of teaching thus far. I teach power yoga styles with arm balances and strength building, but also teach restorative and gentler styles. I have taught at Zenya Yoga and Massage, River Yoga Suffolk, Garden of Zen, and Warrior's Retreat. I have also helped open and manage Warrior's Retreat in addition to my own space and current space, Yoga with Lian. With Yoga with Lian, my goal is to create a yogic space, not a studio. The lack of mirrors in addition to the free-spirited and care-free atmospher aims to offer students a truly safe and personal space to sweat out their burdens, stresses, and mental blockages so they can become stronger, more flexible, and more resillient to their environment. Yoga with Lian aspires to transend building a Yoga Community and create a Yoga Family.
My favorite thing about sharing yoga is all the amazing people I get to meet. Being a yoga teacher is about healing people; it's the individuals and their unique circumstances that truely make this path so rewarding. Being able to be available to my students and help them discover a path that they can create, sustain, and grow is very important to my work. Being able to offer this yogic path and share it with the amazing people I meet is what makes this work so rewarding.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Sessions can be catered towards any goals and needs. Topics include starting your yoga practice, arm balances, Inversions, flexibility, healing, pranayama, meditation, or perhaps you just prefer the one on one setting. Your lesson is your own!!
