Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
All exercise classes are designed for participants of all fitness needs. The instructors are trained to show modifications for the beginner, intermediate, and advanced instructor. Several of the classes are designed so that new participants only stay for the first half of class and then work towards completing a full 45 minute or 60 minute class.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All instructors have a national recognized certification that is specified for the exact class that they teach. For example Yoga, Mad Dogg Spinning, Les Mills, Barre.
How did you get started teaching?
Most instructors have a story of personal weight loss or strength from taking group fitness classes. After the results were seen, they wanted to share this gift to others by learning how to instruct classes and becoming a motivational role model for others.
What types of students have you worked with?
Our instructors have worked with all participants at all fitness levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
All instructors are fond of our quarterly release of new choreography and movements. We typically design a themed party to showcase these new releases in a shortened format so that participants can get a sample of each class.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Check credentials and be sure that the teacher/instructor loves what they are doing. Passion for the industry is everything.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should really be aware of the goals that they have so that they can let instructors know how to help even more.
