Perhaps what I most appreciate about Carissa is that sheâs not only been a good math tutor, but she gets along amazingly with my 15-year-old-grandson. He can be in a negative space when I pick him up from school, and he clearly perks up when he and Carissa are working together â I hear them laugh together often. There doesnât seem to be any âsuperiorityâ in the relationship although itâs clear that sheâs won the respect of my grandson.
Other things I also appreciate: sheâs been highly reliable; sheâs made every effort to accommodate and flex to meet our needs relative to schedules; sheâs researched and recommended helpful resources; sheâs been responsive when Iâve sent her messages; sheâs been good about leeting us know if there a reason she needs to miss a session â and she always tries to make it up; sheâs been willing to communicate with my grandsonâs math teacher at school; and I should not fail to mention that I think her rates are quite reasonable.
Carissa is able to be an effective tutor without standing on formality, and that not the impression I got from other math tutors I initially considered. I truly ENJOY seeing her every week, and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Jacob is an excellent with kids. He tries to connect with them by getting to know them on a personal level. He makes sure that he is teaching to the interests of his students. Jacob really breaks down the music so that it is easier to learn. Try Jacob out- you won't be disappointed.

Liv is beautiful person with lots of knowledge and a great resource. Not only does she help me with translations and grammar, she has always been very gracious with broadening my English and explaining American interpretations of words.
She has helped me to become a better writer by expanding my vocabulary and encourage me to apply new words and meanings to broaden my knowledge and comprehension of the English language.
Being bi-lingual herself she recognizes and understands my language struggles, and that the Dutch way can be sometimes so different from American language and culture.

MadamL is such a encouraging wonderful person! This is my first time taking singing lessons and singing solo in front of someone and she is so kind and encouraging. I have learned so much and I recommend her to anyone who is afraid to sing in front of another person. She has also found some weak areas that I was completely blind to in my voice. We are working on those areas together and itâs wild to actually see improvement in your own voice! Highly recommended for any new singers!

Jay Roberts is one of the best guitarists on the planet. Howâs that for a statement! Iâve taken lessons from many guitarists, some of them quite famous, and Jay is one of the most versatile teachers around. You want jazz, no problem; you want blues, no problem; you want Hendrix, no problem. He has taken his love for teaching and created a unique, fast paced learning environment at RMI, including some world class instructors. The better the teacher, the faster you learn. The better the material, the faster you learn. That sums up Jayâs world.â
