Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Evaluate their experience and their goals, then set up a series of classes to accomplish their goals. It may be a single class to learn a new quilt technique (for example - thread painting) or a series of classes to learn new skills (for example - making a quilt from beginning to end). Students who have never touched a needle will be guided through all the basics - from equipment, to hand sewing, to machine piecing, to finishing a quilt. Goals of the student are first priority.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a California credentialed teacher, with over 30 years quilting experience. I have won multiple awards and have been published in several books. I have taught at local quilt shops and in my studio.
