A/L White Spiritual Artist
About
A/L White is your Art Teacher, Inspiration Conductor and Life Coach all in One.
Many times I see beautifully talented people get hung up on their passions simply because they doubt their abilities, or more accurately, they doubt themselves. I used to be a 'professional' at crafting all the reasons why my pieces weren't good enough, or why I shouldn't even bother. These individual or duo lessons take you out of your own head and into the craft! No pressure, just art!
I enjoy making personal connections and developing others' confidence and talents! I'm here for you, because art makes the world a better place.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We usually start with a few minutes of warm up doodles, discussion & your choice of music. Talk to me! Tell me about your passions.
Students will supply their own paper and pencils. Nothing fancy needed! We can move on to more advanced techniques as you get comfortable.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied through multiple disciplines of Fine Arts in both Seattle and Chicago. Spending 5 years at Columbia College in Chicago solidified my love for a creative life path. I have tutored over 50 students, friends and family & would love to inspire you too!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$35/skype session. 45 minutes of individual or duo lesson time.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always been asked to tutor, or act as creative consultant for the projects in my community. Over the past 16 years I have spent time working with all age ranges and talent levels in both the fine and performing arts. My favorite teaching experiences include college level advising and a guest slot on KBTC's educational access program "The Painting Show."
We get to work with what you have, because that's all you need!
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, backgrounds and ranges of talent. Typically beginners looking to expand their style.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I traveled back to Chicago to help design some beautiful costumes for performers from the Arthur Murray School of Dance
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It's all about you! A teacher should be an objective force of inspiration and knowledge readily available to their students. If something doesn't feel right to you, then it isnt!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Create one short term goal, and one long term goal that you would be proud to post on your social media once achieved! Together we can make your dreams a reality!
