My mission is to teach students Taekwondo as an applicable base to combat sports like kickboxing and MMA. But I also simply want to share my love of the martial arts as a whole however I can.
What I love is watching my students learn and grow, not just in their capabilities but in their love for the martial arts.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I always start with a meeting to discuss goals, prior experience and to assess physical fitness.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Black Belt in Taekwondo 1st Dan, 3-4 year MMA training with phenomenal coaches, Exhibition match experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
No standard pricing yet, so this is your chance to negotiate pricing that works for you 👌🏿. It is my desire to work on an equitable sliding scale that still provides value to me on par with the service I provide.
How did you get started teaching?
Teaching has always been a passion and in this year 2021 I am seeking ways to make my life more about my passions.
What types of students have you worked with?
So far I have worked with 4 students with no Martial Arts experience who have an interest and want to start training.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Arrive with your goals in mind.
Watch the classes you're interested in first.
Look for people who are like you, and slightly better than you in terms of age, size, physical fitness, and experience. You will need multiple suitable training partners in order to grow.
Take a trial class if offered.
Visit multiple schools or instructors to see what feels right.
If you want to compete, ask if they compete and just as importantly if they win.
Leave your ego at the door and have fun!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you want to learn Martial Arts? Competition, fitness, community, confidence, self defense? These are all great things martial arts can provide, so know your motivation for the art. Knowing will help you find the right instructor.
Ask your doctor if you are physically fit for strenuous exercise that may resort in some bodily harm.
