I have been in the world of photography for 40 years.
I spent my younger years working for a variety of newsapapers on the East Coast. Later, I Worked as a.Freelancer for national and international magazines.
I am basically self taught . Though, I have had the good fortune to meet and learn from some of the nation’s top newspaper photographers.
My photography passion is to continually seek out and create stunnng images of people in their daily lives. From China, the UK and the United States. I see able to communicate and teach basic cameras skills , lighting , exposure , and looking beyond the basic snap shot. In other words making or creating an image, instead of taking or snapping an image.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1) providing the student with information about me and my photographic knowledge.
2) I want to know what the student wants to learn from my years of photographic experience.
3) setting goals so that the student comes away having learned a new skill each week.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I previously mentioned . I am self taught except for classes taken at the NY School of Visual Arts in portrait work and black and white fil printing. Plus a 8 week course in corporate annual report photography in 1980s.
