For clients which include Nordstrom, L.L. Bean, Eddie Bauer, Neiman Marcus and many more. I presently shoot with a Canon SLR using CaptureOne and Photoshop software. I also teach at Bellevue College. My studio, where lessons will be taught, is a functioning commercial photography studio. I have a passon for photography and love sharing that passion.

As a self-taught photographer from an early age and 18 years of experience, with a natural eye for composure and art, I've learned the technical aspects of the camera inside and out. This is such a unique trait because not only am I passionate about learning, I understand what is necessary to explain, learn, and practice techniques.
Being a hands-on learner myself, I explain things from a visual standpoint, answering questions along the way, show by example, then hand the reigns over for you to try while walking you through the steps.
Sessions are both indoor, and out in the field (when raining we can make accomodations).&nb

I have over 30 years as a professional photographer specializing in location/documentary style work for corporate and institutional clients nationwide. When I teach I am less interested in the technical details of which buttons or setting to use, but instead, the fundamental question of how to see. How do you use a camera as a means to interact with the subject in front of you, and what do you need to know to achieve your intent? I attend to the craft of imagemaking insofar as it furthers the goal of a fulfilling image. You can see my professional work at www.dougplummer.com. I also have a Tumbler blog of my daily photos, where I p

I've owned and operated my photography business since June 2011. My primary "focus" has always been people. So, I shoot lots of events, portraits, weddings, body painting... basically anything with people. In addition to people, I have extensive experience in product photography as well as real estate photography.
Having been mostly "self taught", I have also been through hundreds of hours of online courses and have also taken several live group courses at local camera shops. Although that style of learning worked well for me, I realize for many they just want a one-on-one experience to help them shoot exactly what they want

I listen to the needs of my customers whether teaching or photographing them. While learning about photography years ago, I thought many teachers were egotistical. To teach, one must be mindful of the needs of the students as each student will be different. Teaching is not a forum for boasting of ones skills or moving at such a rapid pace the student can't keep up.
I started photographing as the world of digital cameras was born back in 2000 when I bought my first Canon Digital Rebel. I fell in love with it instantly. I had the urge to photograph at a very young age since my mother was a news reporter for a small town newspaper.
